Pricing
How pricing works
We don't post prices, because the price of propane moves and no two places need the same work. Here's how every number is made.
What decides the price
For a fill, the price per gallon and the gallons. For service, the work and the parts. For a long drive, the truck time.
Gallons and price per gallon on the day
Distance, road and weather
Parts and labor for any repair
Tank size, placement and ownership
What a quote includes, and what it doesn't
A fill is quoted by the gallon, and a repair by the line, each in writing.
Includes: the fuel, the visit and the leak check
Doesn't include: repairs we find, which are a separate quote
How long the quote holds is written on it
What happens at the visit
We read the gauge, fill the tank, check the regulator and lines, and look at the furnace. We tell you before we book whether the visit has a fee, and whether it's credited to a repair.
After hours
The office is open the hours above, and the line takes messages at other times. After-hours service is based on capacity, and we tell you when you call whether there's a charge. For a gas smell or an alarm, call 911 first.
When you get the number
Before the truck fills, or before any work starts, in writing. If we find something that changes the job, we say so and wait for your yes.
Want the number for your place?
Tell us the tank, the road and the year. We'll write it down.
